Heat pump tariff

I had a heat pump installed by my landlord where it is now costing me almost £200 a month with Scottish Power.  My house is set to 16 degrees, I’m in a small 2 bed house with my daughter and we are out most of the time. I have tried to switch to Octopus today where I was told I failed the credit check and would have to pay £150 upfront? Does anyone have experience of heat pumps and prepayment meters? Am I able to switch if I have bad credit? Where is best for me to go if I don’t have sufficient credit for direct debit?

We need more info, what tarrif you are on, what are the rates, do you have smart meter, what's your actual usage in kWh per day, per month?
What's your EPC rating? When does the heat pump run?

I am on a standard tariff with Scottish power, have received a letter informing me I’m on cheapest tariff. Yes I have a smart meter but only had it for last 2 months. For this month i have used 446 kWh. I am unable to see last months as I have tried to switch to EDF last night. My EPC of the heat pump? It’s C. The heat pump is set to maintain the temperature all day, had previously had it set to heat up between 3-9 which was a small difference in price but inconvenient not having the hot water when I needed it. I really don’t know much about heat pumps at all
