Car Written Off - Extended Warrenty Refund

Hi

I bought a used car from a local dealership in Sept 24 and paid for a extended warranty with Warranty 2000. The warrenty fee was paid to the dealership. The car has been written off by insurance and on contacting the dealership to advise them they have stated that there is no refund on the extended warranty even though there is now no car to cover.
ai have emailed the warranty provider themselves but they are saying I have to take this up with the dealership directly as purchased from them. Is there any consumer rights is partial refunds if the car is written off?

No, other than your rights to whatever is in the warranty terms.  What do they say about this eventuality?

I don't seem to have a copy of the t&c's in my vehicle pack just a purchaser/product overview. The dealership says no refund however Warrenty 2000 website they say them may transfer the warranty to another car in some circumstances, however as yet we haven't purchase a replacement and they are telling us we must talk direct to dealer we purchased from

I'd talk to the dealer and ask them, then.  They'll be able to tell you under what circumstances the warranty can be transferred.  They should also be able to provide you with the warranty documentation if you don't have it.

If it's like some insurance products, there isn't an automatic right for partial refunds.  Depending upon the circumstances of the write-off you may not have received any of your annual insurance premium back?

So warranty co say "may transfer"
Which does not equate to a refund.

You expect dealership to refund cost warranty, which they will not be able to recover?

You could argue, why are you not wanting a refund for car, given you no longer have it 🤷‍♀️
