Recurring Payments

Hi
I had a Microsoft account for my daughter and realized a while ago I hadn't cancelled the payments, it hasn't been accessed for a few years, would I be entitled to a refund?

What has Microsoft done wrong?
I've never used my life insurance but I wouldn't get a rebate for the last 15 years of payment were I to cancel it now because it was there and would have been used had the need arisen.
Ultimately speak to them, you have no right for a refund but some companies go beyond what they have to do and may give a partial refund for at least the last year or two... approach it with contrition though rather than demanding else you'll get a straight no and reminded to check your bank statements.0
