Any reason to be stuck with using a landline? Is this a one off call or a regular call? To a single call recipient or a range of numbers? If its one recipient could they be influenced to use something else?

Similar to the person above, is there any reason why you have to use a landline? There are mobile apps which allow you to make cheap international calls. Most obviously, you could use Whatsapp or Signal, but if you want to ring a Canadian landline, services like Rebtel allow you to make cheap international calls.
  • How about Call18866 - I've used them in the past to Australia but now with WhatsApp and free calls with that I no longer use Call18866.  It worked well when I used them years ago.

Calls to Canada is 2p per minute to landlines and mobiles, plus a 5p connection fee

There are a number of dial-through providers on various 1xxxx access numbers or 03xx xxx xxxx non-geographic numbers.

Avoid dial-through providers using premium rate 084 or 087 numbers.
