Problems With Ebico Living / Rebel Energy

in Energy
I have just transferred to Ebico Living Signature / Rebel Energy
and have had nothing but problems already. I have not even been a
customer with them for two months yet and have already had to submit a
complaint. They agreed to set up a direct debit of £45.43 based on my usage, I’m
not at home much due to work.
Before my first payment had been taken, I had not been with them a month yet, I received an email informing me
that as the colder winter months were coming to an end and the longer
warmer days were approaching (meaning less fuel consumption,) they would
have to increase my direct debit to £115.04 a month. this is way more
than i can currently afford on my stupid wages at the moment so I phoned
Ebico as I wasn't entirely sure how their weird structure worked and
didn't realise I needed to speak to Rebel.
I was assured by the Ebico person that this had been sent out as a mistake.
I wasn't happy with this so then phoned Rebel. Don't phone Ebico, there is no point.
After
arguing with the customer service person that they had no idea what my
monthly usage will be as i hadn't been with them a month yet, they gave
me the number for the actual bill collections people. I phoned them and
they argued i will be using more energy as the cost goes up in April, i
pointed out to them that the tariff was a 12 month fixed tariff and i
joined in February and that my current projected usage for the month is
£22.43 THREE TIMES before they listened to me and agreed the direct
debit did not need to be increased.
They then messed up setting up my direct debit, I had to pay myself as they hadn't set it up correctly TWICE.
Imagine
my delight when this morning I found out they have set the direct debit
up at £115.04. I've currently been on hold for a 25 minutes 5 minutes
normal waiting time to have a go at them again for being incompetent.
Ive also emailed them to make an actual complaint due to the distress
this is causing me as someone with a serious mental health disorder and
that I will end up homeless due to not being able to afford my rent if
they charge me £115.04 a month then they will get nothing from me.
The reason i chose the Ebico Living tariff was because it made sense as a low fuel user and i had no problems with the old Ebico. I would not recommend Ebico / Rebel energy to anyone at the moment.
Totally incompetent.

The bank will reverse the Direct Debit for you if the amount was not what was agreed.

Welcome to the hidden details on the fixed DD system, companies lure you in with a low DD, as they aware many people dont understand energy billing properly, then once you in the net they increase the DD.If they refusing to do as instructed move away, and as already mentioned you can reverse a unauthorised DD.1
