Morning all and thanks @Scarlet for starting us off. It's sunny again and, barring the occasional rogue shower, looks to be set that way for a few more days. I could get used to this.
Yesterday's walk was very pleasant (no coat needed) and I enjoyed seeing the different plants in people's gardens. Forsythia seems to be popular, such a bright sunny colour. A very old and gnarled pink cherry blossom tree at the back of my house is just beginning to flower, now I know Spring has arrived.
Small top-up shop accomplished yesterday with YS veg (sweetheart cabbage and leeks) and two bunches of daffodils (28p each and still in bud) going into my new home-made shopping bag. Well, I had to road test it, didn't I?
Nothing in particular planned for today although I could do with pulling together a grocery order for delivery next week. For tea tonight I'm opening a YS tin of chicken meatballs in tomato sauce to have with pasta. Not something I've tried before, fingers crossed it's OK.
Enjoy your day, as usual hugs where needed or wanted, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
The weather has worsened by the minute! Rain is driving into the house even though it's not cold which is promised to arrive by tomorrow.I've paid my council tax and set up the apple TV box which my nephew 'donated' to me. It was surprisingly easy to install and set up but I need a shorter HDMI cable as the one he gave me is probably meant for a wall-hanging TV. I've sorted out the final kitchen gadget to go to my friend's daughter and set off the washing machine. Time for coffee I think.@YorksLass- seeing the blossoms emerge is such a lovely sight.Still looking for @Nan - hope that you are reading along at least and know that we are thinking about you and your OH.11

Hello everyone....sorry I seem to have missed a couple of days. Little one was about to go to school yesterday morning when her blood sugars dropped very low and she went dizzy. Well she was not happy when DD said she better stay at home, as the fireman were going for a visit, and ended up in an awful mood. DD had an appointment so she dropped her off with me, I put her to bed and after an hour's nap she was back to her usual self. We had a lovely afternoon, crafting and playing and she had a ride on her bike and a chat to some sheep and horses.
My knee started really hurting again yesterday when I walked up the hill from my mam and dads, so I tried to do an econsult with my surgery this morning. It opens at 8am and they had closed it by 8.45! So I went on 111 online and was told someone would ring me back within 8 hours. A nurse rang back after just 10 minutes and advised me to go to our Minor Injuries department at some point during the day. So DD dropped me off after work, I had an hours wait and then saw a lovely nurse - I have a damaged ligament and a huge elastic bandage! Little one will be impressed! She says it will take up to 12 more weeks to heal properly, but at least I now know what's wrong with it.
Right I'm going to wash up and put my pyjamas on and get comfy on the sofa with my leg up.
See you all tomorrow x9 -
Hope your leg starts to feel better soon DP1
