What insurance do I need?

Hi,
I have recently purchased a leasehold flat which I am looking to insure.
As a leasehold, the building insurance is covered by the landlord of the entire building (each flat pays the landlord directly for this). Does this mean that I only require content insurance?
Thanks

Normally yes, but there are all the optional policies you can add on like legal expenses or Home Emergency which you can decide if they offer value to you or not.boffbfc88 said:As a leasehold, the building insurance is covered by the landlord of the entire building (each flat pays the landlord directly for this). The only thing to be careful of is Tenants Improvements, the Landlord may only be insuring the building to the basic standard when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms etc. If you replace fixtures and fittings with higher grade options you may want to have that included in your Contents insurance. Some include it as standard, some its an add on (not always available online), some dont offer it.0
