ISA with moneybox

I am looking to set up an ISA with another bank to spread the risk. 
I wondered if anyone had any experience of moneybox and what they thought?
I can see they are regulated but I'm nervous about anything that isn't a "regular bank"!

1. Moneybox is not a bank but a middleman, they do not have any FSCS protection.
 . Any FSCS protection (up to  £85000) they may quote, comes from the banks they partner with.

2. Would it not just be easier and simpler just to open a Cash ISA at another bank, which has FSCS protection.

According to the FCA register the bit in bold is incorrect. They have Client Money permission, so while they are holding your money in their client money account, it is FSCS protected.
