Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's a cloudy start but fairly mild this morning, lovely to get up and not be cold!
I had to go and order new ties for school yesterday so called at Ikea on my way back for light bulbs but they didn't have any. They did however have my dinner! It was lovely to be coming home after 6 and it was still light.
Washing up to date, bins to go out later but apart from that there's nothing much going on. Not long until the Easter holiday thank goodness.
DS2 and his DP move into their new house today, they've had the keys for a couple of weeks and have been decorating but the movers are shifting their belongings today. They will miss being right in the centre of the city but their new house has so much more space and a little garden.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good day. Take care. XX13 -
Good morning again, There is a light frost but it'll soon go, the sun is out.
I was up early after lying awake for ages. Same old thing, worrying about situations I can do nothing about.
I put some washing in as soon as I came downstairs - we went over to the caravan yesterday and brought some fleece throws back to wash.
Dh is keen to go away in the van so we've booked a few days on a site near Seahouses in Northumberland - it's not a long drive so won't tire him out I hope. We took the van out yesterday just to check that everything was ok, it seems to be.
Chrisca, sorry to read that your Dh is facing a wait to get the catheter sorted out.
Ruby, Rob's family don't sound very caring. Just as well he has you.
Dp1 your dg d seems to be picking up, hope she continues.
I'm not planning to go out today, might do a quick freezer tidy.
A few weeks ago I made some spicy chicken nuggets, well, they were a bit too spicy for me, and even Dh was gasping a bit when eating them! I' d reduced some of the spiciness as well, otherwise Lord knows what they would have been like. Anyway there are some in the freezer - do we attempt to eat them in the interest of economy, possibly using a yogurt based dip to cool them a bit, or shall I chuck them? At the moment I'm leaning towards throwing them out.
I'll decide later.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to the sad or poorly.
Take care folks.

Morning allThanks for starting us off Scarlet and your thoughts for my DHSunny morning this morning. Washing to hang out, a bit of housework to do and then finish weeding the vegetable patch that I started yesterday. It doesn't get too much sun so not planting much this year, just runner beans methinks. The other half I'm going to sprinkle a box of 'wildflower meadow seeds' for the bees and suchlike. Hope they grow OK as they should make a colourful show.Had a quote from the bathroom man so will have to start looking for a shower cubicle and we'll have a new basin and toilet unit too.Hope everyone is OK. Take care x13

Morning all
Dry here and some sun due later, I have Rob coming today and will take him to work the new hours seem to be working well for him which is good I think we will be doing some baking today. Remmie you are not being nosy at all ! I do think his mum cares for him but she may be unable to get to the phone or the mad one will be dripping poison into her ear about me, either way I don’t think it’s safe for him to go and live at home again he is thriving being in respite.
Dinner tonight will be something and chips will decide later I got OH some GF sausages so he will have them, dd is working an early today so will be home for dinner.
I have put a wash on this morning which can be hung out before I go to work.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning all
Just enjoying a slightly later getting up time - the last two work days have felt like a whole week was crammed into them. Just going for a few hours this evening covering someone else’s shifts,Will try and get some patio jet washing done today - it’ll be two or three sessions but I’m keen to get it done as the dirt and algae is annoying me!Hope everyone has a good middle of the week

Morning all from a rather grey Glasgow. Meeting up with my eldest nephew and his partner was really good. We sat in the hotel lounge chatting and drinking the odd wine for ages. Had a bit of lunch there too. The evening show was about average, entertaining without being fabulous, then straight to bed. Now I'm showered and about to head down for breakfast. Bus home is at noon.@Camelot - happy new home to your DS2 and partner. They've waited a long time for this move.I think that you've been such a positive influence in Rob's life @Ruby. Such great work.Chuck them @Scarlet - eating should be pleasurable as well as nourishing. Don't think of it as wasting but saving yourselves from an unpleasant meal.12

Morning
A dry start but a bit chilly, sun forecast later.
No plans yet for today no shopping needed. The malarkey with the road is putting me off going out so much, maybe I'll get to use up what's in the freezer instead of keep popping out.
I know there's some diced beef in the freezer so maybe a casserole tonight, with either mash or crusty bread. I'll probably make some mince pies to use up the Xmas mincemeat.
Now I've bored you all with my exciting day I'll bid you goodbye, and hope you have a good day. Hugs to all who need them. Take care.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I am a latecomer but sadly it's not due to sleeping in! I ended up in messing about mode with not much to show for it! And I agree about the too spicy chicken - chuck it! I have put stuff back in the freezer that wasn't up to me taste and it doesn't come out again, till it ends up in the bin!
I have got a clean shower curtain out as I didn't realise how bad the current one has got! I keep putting it off as it involves a balancing act! After that who knows, but there are numerous other jobs waiting for me as usual.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Hi everyone,
Ruby, I second everything that has been said.
Scarlet, I hope you have a good break and it isn't too much for DH. It's good that he wants to do it.
Gers, I'm full of admiration how you keep in touch with your family, I'm a bit sad that my family isn't close at all, I have five nephews and never see any of them (or my brothers either).
I have a hair appointment this morning and then an appointment to have my BP checked by a nurse because I'm still not taking medication for it. I'm keeping my eye on it and it seems ok at the moment.
Have a good day.12 -
Sorry been Mia .
been v busy writing a quiz for my quiz group ,I don’t think people realise just how much work they entail ,or perhaps they do and that’s why there’s always a lack of volunteers to do one !
all done and will spend the morning today cross checking the answers as there’s always someone who knows better and argues .
the prizes at best are a bar of chocolate ,but you’d be amazed how competitive people are !,
This afternoon I am going to a WI cream tea ,not sure how that aligns with Slimming World !Stay safe all12
