Kitchen revamp/makeover £5600 quote

My old kitchen has the framework so the base is there. I live in the North East - medium size kitchen.
Replace all cupboard doors,  plinths & fittings, new hob, oven, sink & taps. Knock off old tiles & re plaster. Remove old wall fan and replace. If anyone could advise it would be great?

Medium sized means nothing, someone who's lived in London flats may think thats 7 units, ask someone living in a rural setting outside the southeast and 15 units may be medium sized.

You can price the appliances very easily, you can ask them to split parts and labour. No one can say its great because nothing stops someone buying parts for £100 and charging you £1,000 but the split can be telling and may indicate if you are getting a good deal or buying overpriced tat.

The tiles could vary wildly in cost, as could the appliances and other materials used. It's possible to spend most of that budget on the appliances alone, depending on what you opt for. Miele tends to be wildly more pricey than indesit or beko.

I'd work out the cost of all of this yourself depending on what exactly you're buying.
  • i had my kitchen resprayed, the vinyl was peeling off, i looked and the prices to replace were silly, I used a local company it was about £625 for the kitchen respray, they even repaired some damage to 1 of the doors.
Looked like a brand new kitchen, i would not look at purchasing a new kitchen again, i would always use respray now as saved me so much.
I would highly recommend them and know they do travel, have a look at Gallant Restorations and see if its something that would benefit your saving while renovating. https://restorers.co.uk
