Renewal quote

Hey. My first post, how exciting!
So, it’s that time of year for me, insurance renewal in just under 4 weeks time. So I called my insurance company nice and early for the first time in order to get my quote, pen and paper at the ready. Surprisingly, I was told that as my renewal quote hadn’t been generated yet, there was nothing that could be looked into. I asked if there was any way to ‘do it anyway’ and was told no essentially and to call back after the weekend.
What I want to know is, is that a tactic to fob me off and slap me with a higher price in a week’s time. Should I call back and be a bit more assertive?
Thanks in advance!

If you're keen to sort your 2025-2026 insurance policy now, there's nothing topping you from getting quotes for a new policy. You've got four weeks so what's the rush to get it done now?0

Being 'assertive' won't change the fact that they don't produce your renewal quote 4 weeks before it's due. Not sure why you would be surprised at that.
Why would it be more expensive in a weeks time - have you been taking the MSE guide too literally?0 -
Yeah probably taking advice too literally thinking it will be more expensive when they give me the quote.
thanks!0
