I've never carried a balance into the next month, but I keep getting emails from Clearscore, offering me Balance Transfer Cards.
I thought these ads were supposed to be targeted?

They know that I don't have an outstanding balance, so why send balance transfer offers?0 -

Do you think that they actually look at each individual member to see if they are in debt?
Targeted probably to somebody who might qualify for such cards- which might be you even if you do not want/need them?0 -

It's not impossible you might have a big spend/emergency you want to pay off over a period for example, I have a CC paid in full every month and use BT/MT cards to stooze
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
