Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers. You'll be on your way to Glasgow now (maybe even there already), I hope you enjoy the show.
It looks pleasant enough out this morning and we're promised sunny intervals, dry, top temperatures of 16 deg. It's so nice to have the windows open for fresh air and not have the heating on quite so much. I'm not looking forward to the clocks going forward this weekend, it always takes me a few days to catch up with the change.
Today's plan is to give the kitchen a spruce up; the white goods need a wipe over and a mop across the floor wouldn't go amiss either. Mr Postie has brought two catalogues from firms I sometimes buy from; I'll give them a quick look through but as usual they'll end up in recycling as there's nothing I need right now. I'm undecided about tea tonight; it's either fish fingers, chips and mushy peas or a cheese and mushroom omelette. Either way, whichever I don't have tonight will be eaten tomorrow.
@mehefin - Well done on using up the pallets. My late DH was good with anything mechanical but, give him a roll of wallpaper or a piece of wood, and it was an open invitation to disaster!
@Chrisca - I'm glad your DH has been able to come home and hope the 12 week referral wait will pass quickly.
@Ruby - Poor Rob, it's a good job he has you for support.
@Rosy - Paint always dries darker than expected and I think you're right to re-visit the carpet choice before splurging out.
@TA - Isn't it always the way that a sort out doesn't necessarily produce the desired result! Enjoy your lunch day.
Right, time to make a start on the kitchen clean - painting the Forth bridge springs to mind!Take care, hugs for the sad/lonely/not so well. X

Morning
Chucking it down here, and very dark still. Yesterday was a glorious spring day, what a change.
Yesterday turned into one of those days. I had a parcel to return and found out I could take it to my local Asd*. There's only one way out of the village due to the road closure and they (the gas works) are also digging that road up, so traffic lights and down to one lane. It's also where the worse potholes are. Anyway, after tackling that I arrived at the supermarket only to wait at customer services for 15 minutes for someone to serve me. Then no split peas in stock so i can't make pease pudding, no tins either. Still I filled up with petrol while there, but I think I'll stick to returning parcels st the PO in future.
Ruby, sorry to be nosy, poor Rob, what a family.
By the way, I started this post at 8.30 then paused to give big dog his breakfast and have only just got back. Rain has now stopped.
Have a good day, hugs to all who need them. Take care.9
