Morning all. Early doors for me as I'm off to Glasgow later this morning for one night with my oldest nephew and his partner who flew up last night. I'll be there in time for brunch then we're off to see the Alex Horne Section tonight. Happy days.
I hope that everyone is doing well, including their families. Hugs to all.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, enjoy the show.
It's been raining overnight but looks to be brightening up. Yesterday's sunshine turned into a cloudy afternoon but the washing dried and was all put away.
I bought a cold frame and put it together over the weekend, it's absolute rubbish and will blow away with a puff of wind! I had it on the deck but there's no way of amchoring it down so have had to move it to the grass. That'll teach me to buy cheaply.
Managed to get loads done at work with lots more to do today so I shall be kept busy. The little one wasn't well yesterday so wasn't in school, she'll be back today.
Can't remember who's up to what but will wish you all well. Take care. XX12 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Bright and sunny this morning, quite a change from the foggy start yesterday.
I need to plant a few seeds today, not growing much but I do like homegrown tomatoes and a bit of salad. Maybe a few sweet peas.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning allDH came back from the hospital yesterday and still has to wear a catheter and is being referred to have tests on his kidneys and prostate. 12 week waiting list though! This seems to be the norm at the moment though doesn't it.Bathroom man came and is going to give us some quotes.Going to get out into the garden today as it's looking bright and a bit calm out there. Must get some minted lamb chops out of the freezer that I got from the butchers last week and rustle up something to go with them for dinner.Have a good day all x11

Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here but hoping for some sun later, I have three people coming today so I will see what they fancy doing they do like to get out for a walk as do I so maybe that.
Dinner tonight is either something and chips or a chicken kebab with GF flatbreads it depends on dd and how tired she is she has just done a mammoth 36 hour shift at work so she may not fancy doing the kebab in which case I will do a quick something and chips once I get in.
Remmie you asked about Robs mum the truth is I don’t really know since I cut off communication with the mad one I’ve not heard anything the last I heard she was bed bound and still quite poorly but that was a few weeks ago, I do know that not one family member has phoned and asked how Rob is doing he has been in respite for 6 weeks now and not one phone call! They are extending his respite until after his review and there is no date set for that yet so will be a while yet.
Gers enjoy your time with your family xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all, drizzly and dull here but it's not rained for ages and I need it for the new plants and seeds.Enjoy your trip Gers.I love sweet peas S OldieWe got half the front room painted yesterday, hopefully the same again, although I'm thinking of a bus trip. We ended up going back to the carpet place for a sample of our chosen one to check against the paint samples. We thought the one we'd chosen was just slightly different but now it's on and dried it looks darker than the old shade- still ok though. I always find it really hard in bee&que to get a true idea.Tea last night was a mix , we ended up with different meals but DH's was a quick defrost of mince in gravy with chips- one of his favourites
, pizza for DS and aubergine parmigiana for me.
Right, better go.Hugs to poorlies and sad, & hope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Enjoy your trip away and have a lovely catch up with family. It's a bit grey here but no rain forecast and the chance of some sun later.
At my 3rd attempt I finally got all the windows cleaned inside yesterday and then attacked the freezer. For some reason there was less room when it was sorted than when it was in turmoil, so there is still stuff shoved where it shouldn't be! .I am determined not to put the 2nd freezer back on again though.
No jobs lined up for today as it's extended lunch day with DF. Unless I hear differently! She rang Neurology yesterday for some indication as to when he might be seen re his Parkinsons referral.. Would you believe it could be up to 12 months!! So she has been in contact with a private clinic regarding seeing someone privately. He could be on medication that might help his symptoms during the 12 month wait!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all. Dull but dry here atm.
Had a good day yesterday as used my bus pass for a trip to Oxford - took 2hrs each way though! Had a nice wander round some bits I hadn't visited before and the sun finally came out. DH finds the bus trip too long but would be happy to visit if we drove, which sort of defeats the object........................
Today we have a video call arranged with DH's sister in Sydney, mainly to sort out any final arrangements for when she flies over for the wedding. I then need to collect a polo shirt DH ordered and pick up any bits of food shopping we need. No doubt the ironing will be calling me after that.
Hope everyone's day goes well and hugs to the poodles.10 -
Morning everyone
We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and it's forecast to be the same today.
It's my youngest DD's 26th birthday today - makes me feel quite old! We're going to have a takeaway from our local Turkish restaurant at teatime, it's easier to have it at home as little one will be tired after school.
She managed all day at school yesterday and rang me to tell me all about it - I think she forgot that we'd had a chat through the nursery window after lunch!
She had been really upset when the nurse arrived at school to supervise a staff member doing her feed mid morning and they'd had to ring DD to go round...luckily their house is 2 minutes away. She'd then wanted to go home, but DD had been sensible and said no but if she still wanted to in half an hour ask her teacher to phone and she'd come for her. I don't know what they'd done to distract her, but there was no phone call and she stayed till the end of the day.
She had been fine for her lunchtime feed and told me Mrs X 'knows how to do it now.' It was a massive step for her to trust someone else to do it, without her mummy supervising.
I do feel for the staff having to do all these extra medical things, it's not exactly in their job description.
Right I've waffled on so I'd best get some jobs done....I tidied some garden rubbish into the bin last night. I'm going to do a bit more before I put it out to be emptied.
Silver oldie I plant sweet peas every year to grow up a trellis at the bottom of my garden, I love their scent.
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
