TV for local collection being bid on from all corners of the globe.

Hi, i recently got a good deal on a TV so i have listed my old LG 55" TV on eBay.

Due to the size i only listed it for local collection, however after the listing ended it became clear that the buyer was not a local and wanted to pay to have it shipped to Jordan! due to the stand and no box it just sounded like a right faff to me so i declined, cancelled the order and had to relist. Now the 2nd auction has just ended and the same guy has won the auction (i don't know if he is just trolling me at this point after i cancelled the sale)

So i went to the bids to see if i could offer it for a second chance offer (not that i have ever had someone accept one!) and to my surprise almost every bidder was from abroad with one from Ghana.
Is the eBay system really so unintelligent that i have to turn off global shipping programme for local collect items?
Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone! just doesn't cut it...:think::huh: and these don't come close

Yes, if you dont want to ship internationally you have to turn off international shipping option for that item.

You would imagine if you have selected 'collect only' that you wouldn't have the option for global shipping (unless ebay are going to collect the parcel and post it for you)
Collection only with global shipping would be contradictory.

All the foreign bids will be scammers. Nobody would bid on a big TV being shipped overseas.

Weirdly the TV was won by someone that collected from Luton (about 90 minutes from me) and he said he was shipping it to Romania
