Property buying companies

Hi. I am trying to sell a house quickly (for various reasons I wont dwell on here) and am considering a property buying company. I know they pay less than market rate but am willing to take the hit. The property is unmortgageable through normal lenders and is considered derelict as it needs major renovation (stripping it right back to bare walls).
Does anybody have any experience of these companies and things to watch out for? No idea if they will even buy it given its condition.

I am not sure that you will find one that would take on such a property, they are looking at turning them over relatively quickly without spending a fortune on.
You would be better off selling via a traditional auction.0 -
The property sounds like it would be best to sell at auction - proper auction not 'modern method'.I did once give my opinion of property buying companies and was threatened by them with legal action for libel! Even though I was giving my own personal experience. Make of that what you will.0
