Home insurance with lodgers
Comments

I have paid for AD cover for many years without ever using it. Comments in another thread made me think about not renewing it, as most of the potential accidents would not cost that much to put right. Plus there is an excess and I would lose some no claims discount.1404 said:What on earth is the point of insurance without accidental damage cover or cover for lodgers when you have declared that you have two of them. Ridiculous.
So I am coming to the conclusion that I have been wasting money on being overinsured with having this cover.0 -

That's also true. My excess is £600, so it would have to be a very expensive accident (destruction of an entire kitchen or floorboards of a room) to make it worthwhile.
