BW Legal

I moved out of a tenanted property 1 October. BW Legal are sending me debt letters threatening legal action stating that I owe money for utilities for the property between 24 October and 3 December (when I no longer lived there) I settled my final bill with British Gas when I moved and British Gas have confirmed that I do not owe money and have given me a reference number to give to BW Legal. I have tried speaking with BW Legal through their customer portal twice now, they insist that they will continue chasing unless I give them proof of when I moved. I don't have a check out letter or key return letter. I have given them the British Gas reference and a copy of the email from British Gas stating I don't owe money and asked them to contact British Gas. They have said they will not do this, yet they claim to be colla debt on their behalf! I am bewildered at what more I can do other than ignore them. Any advise please?

This isn't a parking case but surely you can prove when you moved out by asking the letting agents to email you confirmation?

That will shut up BW Legal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
