Why do I only have 4 solar panels?

Hi I’m new here so please be kind! I have recently had solar panels fitted by my housing association. They initially brought 10 but couldn’t fit them the same day so had to come back the next day and only put up 4.
I have a 4bed house at full occupancy, all other houses that have had them done so far, mainly 1 bedroom bungalows, have 6. I queried this and was told they are right for the specs of my house. Does this sound right? I’m not sure how they decide how many to put up but I have to say I’m seeing little benefit, I’m at home all day as I have 2disabled children so I use the energy being created, I get the equivalent of 1 wash from my panels per day, don’t know if I should just be satisfied with this but I would have expected to save more. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hard to answer without knowing a bit more, but a typical 4 bed house using 400w panels would need around 10-12 panels. It seams like they intended to install 10 and just fobbed you off with 4.0

In which case, the only people who can answer this are your Housing Association. They should know what they asked the contractor to fit, and whether the contractor has complied (or not).N.
