NS&I and HMRC

Options
I have various Savings Bonds with NS&I. Do NS&I inform HMRC of any interest earned from these Bonds or do I have to do it myself ?
Any advice would be appreciated

But you still have to complete a self-assessment if you are within certain categories https://www.gov.uk/self-assessment-tax-returns/who-must-send-a-tax-return

Does the fact that NS&I tax/interest statements don’t coincide with the tax year cause any conflicts when doing self assessment e.g. when interest is paid on 6 or 7 April?

No. It is completely normal for a savings account to pay interest at various times during the tax year and it creates no conflicts at all. If interest is paid on or after 6th April, it will not count towards the tax year just ended.

No. The interest arises on the date it's credited to your account and accessible. If it states e.g., "06/04/25 Interest £100" and it's accessible then that £100 will fall into the 25/26 tax year.
