Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. The weather is being kind to us today with sunny intervals, a gentle breeze, temperatures up to 14 deg and, best of all, dry. It's just a shame I haven't got any washing to hang out or even anywhere I need to be. Typical!
It seems quite a few of us are planning some DIY/home improvements. I spent most of yesterday afternoon planning for when I decorate the living room. I like a plan. After making a list of what to do, in what order and tools/materials needed, I ventured into the walk-in storage cupboard and found I already had some of the stuff so they've been crossed off the list. Unexpected bonus: a few things binned. The cream paint I thought was on the yellow side is winning me over - it goes well with existing furniture/soft furnishings and lightens a west facing room but I'll give it a few more days before making a final decision.
One shopping bag finished (yesterday) and one to go (maybe today). The fabric and lining (yes, they're lined) were remnants I bought years ago from a CS for 50p each so, even with the tape I had to buy, I'll have two bags for just over £1 each. Tea tonight is pizza and side salad, peaches and yogurt for afters.
@Ruby - Well done on the gluten free Yorkshires, good that DH doesn't have to miss out.
@TA - Fingers crossed for the window cleaning, mine are always at the bottom of the To Do list.
@AA - We had that situation a few years ago when the primary school over the road was having a re-vamp and being extended - noise and mud aplenty. It was such a long drawn out affair.
Healing wishes for those not feeling 100%, make the best of the sunshine if you have it. Take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
@RedRuby1231 Asda's GF flours are very good & not gritty like some. Also, cornflour Yorkies are really easy & quick to make!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all from Mehefinland
Its a bootiful sunny day here now, although a bit cloudy first thing. Showman is out in the field naked for the second day - the mud covering he acquired yesterday was something else!! Spent a lot of time over the weekend wrangling pallets to make vertical garden at the library - our furniture came on them and it seemed a waste when we had sufficient room to utilise them. Am a bit worried if the fixings I used to attach them to the wall were big enough for when they are filled with compost and plants. Might have to do a bit of remedial banging and crashing. Afraid I'm not much of a handyperson - need a Taff!!- more a bodgit n scarper. The planters are looking good now with a good variety of stuff in them - when they have settled I'll post some piccys, but they need to grow a bit first.
Green bag recycling here tomorrow so better crack on and fill a few more.
Hugs and spoons as always.

Hi everyone,
I'm a bit late to the party but we had an ok lockdown, we had to shield because Steve was still being treated for his cancer. The worst thing was not seeing Esben between the ages of three and six months. Funnily enough at the talk we went to last week Simon Sparrow spoke about lockdown and said that a red deer befriended his dog and would come into their garden and even the house.
Yesterday we went to Hertfordshire zoo with the whole family. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate but we still had a good time. I made a beef massaman curry when we came home which was much appreciated.
Have a good day.10
