I bought this device this morning from Aldi stores for £11-99.
It has a large number of programs on it.
To use all of them you have to download the app on your smart phone.
On doing this the app requires you to provide all of your credit card details including your CVV.
Is this safe to do?
Thanks.
Ps. I realize that this is a 'legal' question, but to any one thinking of purchasing this device it might help before actually buying.

Suggest you read the app details carefully and see what they may charge you for before adding your CC.

I'd take it back for a refund.

Neither of your two replies seem to imply to keep the watch, that's because of the credit card details requirement I take it?

I have had several ‘smart watches’ and non of the apps for them have ever required bank or credit details, I’d be taking it back to aldi.

The fact they're asking for card details tells you why it's £11.99 upfront.

One further thing to be careful about - I got a similar Chinese-origin smart watch (not Bauhn, but bought from Lidl, I think) and the app required full access to everything on my phone - pictures, contacts, ability to make phone calls - the lot. There is absolutely no reason (IMO) why a smart watch app should need that. I deleted the app and put the watch in the electrical recycling.

    Thanks for all replies.
I'm taking it back to Aldi tomorrow.
