Report neighbour for Environmental issues

Options
Neighbour ignores request to repair his roof ( Tiles Missing .Two Holes) this causes draught in my roof space and will eventually lead to water damage .Has anyone gone down the route of reporting this type of issue to their County Council Environmental department and if so how did it go ?
Keep in your thoughts the poor Beasts of burden around the World and curse All who do them harm.

Not really an environmental issue, but possibly a building control one if the property is allowed to deteriorate to the point it poses a danger to the public and/or the people living in it.

What kind of roof space do you have?  Generally ventilation in roof spaces is good, unless it is unwanted (e.g. 'warm roof' situations) - and if the latter then how is the draught getting from the neighbour's roofspace into yours?

The council might do something, but probably more likely to tell you it is a civil matter between the two of you and to consult a solicitor (or home insurance legal protection)

I think you are referring to a potential statutory nuisance which would be dealt with by Environmental Health. I think the level to prove this is a stat. nuisance would be quite high as you are assuming at some point in the future it will damage your property. It would be worth ringing and having a chat with your local EH team to discuss, but don't expect them to rush out to it. They might send a letter though. Building Control won't have any interest.
