Child DLA renewal

Hi,

My child DLA is up for review in Oct 2025.  I haven’t received the renewal forms yet.

Is the review assessed in a same way as making a fresh claim? Or chances are allot better.

My older child is in receipt of PIP. I am appointee for both of them.  It shouldn’t affect my older child PiP during the child DLA renewal process?

Thanks

They should write to you 6 months before with new forms but if they don't contact them in a few months and make sure you get it back before the claim ends.
I found they seem to prioritise renewals based on when they expire. So I sent mine in 3 months early and I didn't get a decision until 2 days before. But I know People who have sent it in one month before the end and got their decision at the same time.

It will be a whole fresh renewal so do it like you did the first one. Your older child won't be affected
