eBay large letters to Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework

eBay large letters to Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework

Just thought I would ask here to see if there is a simple answer.

I have seen the trial data input on "click and drop" for Parcels (BPL code)
and I understand what is basically needed from 1st May (though what a pain LOL)

Then there is Account Mail with an account Barcode (UNH code) *used to be called Royal Mail PPI - printed impressions.

These maybe large letters untracked, items of very low value.

Surely we're not expected to move these over to C&D? And if so, extra costs for labelling and time over head it takes to weigh the item and put the details in for click and drop.

Oh, and Royal Mail are saying from March you can't use their free labels for most services other than I think, Special Delivery and one other.

OK, I know I made this sound a bit complicated, but a similar question could be, "Can I stick a first or second class large letter stamp on a large letter to Northern Ireland after May 1st under the Windsor Framework"?

As no one else is answering you, I'll give it a go based on the bits I know.
I can't see why putting stamps on would be a problem as long as you use a CN22 too.
You could try calling Royal Mail and asking which will probably get you a better response than checking at a Post Office.

Thank you RFW. According to the info here:
How to send parcels from a business in Great Britain to a private individual or a business in Northern Ireland - GOV.UK
CN22s aren't needed when sending to consumers, but things get a bit muddy when sending to businesses.
It seems that the courier (Royal Mail) Will ask for information when sending to a business, but how do you know from a list of eBay addresses who is a business and how will Royal Mail request the information from you if you're not in Click and Drop?

This is what AI says, but it doesn't explain how your barcoded envelope is identified as a business to customer item:

    AI GENERATED TEXT:
Yes, under the Windsor Framework, businesses in Great Britain can continue to send parcels to consumers in Northern Ireland through Royal Mail's standard non-click and drop account (BPL). There are no changes to the consumer offering, and these movements can be made without customs declarations, duties, or presentation to customs authorities.
    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    • No Changes to Consumer Parcels:
The Windsor Framework doesn't introduce any new requirements for sending parcels from businesses to consumers in Northern Ireland.
No Customs Declarations, Duties, or Presentations:
Parcels sent under the Windsor Framework by Royal Mail (or other authorized carriers) do not require customs declarations, duties, or presentation to customs authorities when they are sent to a consumer in Northern Ireland.
    UK Carrier Scheme:
Your parcel carrier will need to be authorized under the UK Carrier Scheme.
    Inform Your Carrier:
You'll need to inform your carrier whether your parcels are going to a consumer or a business.
    Simple Descriptions:
Provide your carrier with a simple description of the contents of each parcel (e.g., shampoo, plastic cups, mobile phones).
    Restricted Goods:
Your carrier will notify you of any relevant prohibited goods or additional information needed to move restricted goods.
    Click and Collect:
Even if the consumer places an order online for delivery to a business address in Northern Ireland (e.g., a parcel locker), these are still treated as business-to-consumer parcels.

AI search results are unreliable at best, at worst they can be completely wrong and actively harmful.  They scrape the whole web, they don't just use official sources.  So those results are probably based on a mixture of comments of people trying to understand what information has been put out as well as 'articles' reporting on the arrangement, regardless of how accurate or dreadful the reporting is (and perhaps even speculative comments and articles about how they *might* resolve the issue, before the framework came into force - but that is ironically speculation on my part), not just the actual official information about it.

AI also has been known to invent sources, so when a claim has a link next to it the searcher needs to read the whole link to see if what the AI says is actually in the 'source' or not.

For that reason, I noted about that it was AI generated. This is having phoned Royal Mail OBA help desk and being told they have no training on Windsor Framework, and I've now just emailed them.
