RCP car park PCN

Hi I regularly park at one of the RCP car parks for work where I pay 7 pounds for 24 hours. I pay this through the PayByPhone app. I received a PCN for one of the days I parked and payed for on the app. I appealed saying I had paid and sent them proof of payment but they said the wrong number plate was selected which is for a car that I don’t even own anymore. There must of been an error in the app when selecting the number plate as I always have my number plate as default.
They have said I can pay 20 or appeal with POPLA but I have read bad reviews about their service siding with the car parks. What’s the next step for me please.

Up to you. Either pay £20 to end it, or totally ignore RCP and the £170 threatograms shown in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.
I wouldn't be using a privately run car park. Why pay RCP £7 per day? Is there no Council car park nearby?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
