According to the smartme link text from above - I'll relink here - you need a T3 for external.

Thought I read the other day - 5 seconds meant WAN healthy.

Is your problem comms to DCC / supplier from electric - or gas meter  IHD ?
No idea, but the IHD still shows I wanted yesterday, still plugged in.

That sounds par for the course if they aren't able to communicate with the meter which therefore hasn't any data for the IHD to get. Either not properly commissioned or faulty meter. Good luck with the appointment.

Enginner just been, cannot an doything themselves, sorted the electric meter, I just need to contact for the gas.

Email came through, I have an emergency credit for electric, so seems gone to Prepayment mode, I would creditm mode by Direct Debit.

I contacted about the gas side, as no idea:

"As I can see that one of our case handler is working on your case. I have informed the case handler to contact you via email and share the update. I request you to wait for 24 hours"

Guess I will wait until then and keep an eye on the electric emergency meter and top up if needed as I want to change that to credit and don't trust if I top it up it will carry over to credit as rthey can't do the basic of sending readings automatically.

I have £70 on the gas card which I couldn't use and had £10 credit on the meter before meter change on electric.

    Very smart indeed.

No email received from the case handler (yet).

Not sure if electric is sending readings, but like the gas I'm now sending my own readings on a daily basis on their site.

Not sure if the gas side is working/updating on my account as there is no information about it unlike the electric.

I have gas, but now decided to be a bit more patient and wait for them to make contact with an update as to how to pay, bit drastic but I will put away £30 a month ready.

Electric is on prepayment mode, prefer to switch to credit but as they are now the same cost as credit, not too concerned.  I topped over the internet and it updated the meter, so I guess that part works.

Tried the Bright app, nothing - been 4 days.

Update: LIve chat, no excat but summary,(italic is my commment and not in live chat)

Q: Electric meter is in prepayment mode and I want credit - (I'm assuming credit mode offers time of use and prepayment, but also has to work first).

Answer: I need to wait 28 days to change. (On my calender for 30th April, but why it's a "smart" meter they can change instantly)

Q: Gas meter account doesn't show anything on my account online, unlike electric and the fact I have no idea how I am paying.

A: Gas meter is connected to the DDC, I have a case handler who is looking into.  Electric meter is sending regular readings (Bright app seems to be showing electric only, but not the IHD as been stuck awaiting data).

Q: My IHD is showing awaiting data (I would prefer this for now as on a prepayment meter I can see my balance, instead of the meter.

A: Please check that the Energy Monitor has not been moved away from the comms hub. If it has please move it closer to the comms hub.

You can follow the below steps to restore the network connection -
    Unplug the energy monitor.
If possible, switch off the internet router and any other smart enabled devices.
Move the Energy Monitor closer to the electricity meter (if possible use batteries and take the monitor to the electricity meter and see if it connects).

Plug the Energy Monitor back in.
Allow 7 days for the fault to rectify itself as the Communications Hub resets after 7 days if loses connection with any of smart devices in the home.

(Been right next to it the whole time, but ok will do this.)

EDIT: Post arrived after this, I have a Gas Smart Card (2 of them, but only 1 electric :| ), looks like prepayment mode - um no clue then if I'm on emergency credit or not then as the electric was when first put in and I topped up online for it, but Gas I cannot.

The gas meter itself after pressing A twice:
    Credit On
    Balance £0.00

@Marvel1 It sounds to me that you are just getting "stock" answers to some things there.
With regard to the IHD, I know I said this but probably in another post that was a reply to another poster and now moved to its own thread -
Look at the Bottom/Back of the IHD for its GUID, or press OK, then right arrow a few times (probably 4) until you see IHD Information, the press OK again. Give the GUID to your supplier and ask them to check that it's been correctly registered against your meter and address. The installer may have made an error or not done it!

What readings did you put into that calculator?
I doubt know your household, but we've been using about 20kWh of gas a day recently. 47kWh - about four cubic metres - for two and a half weeks seems quite low?
