info needed on abox wireless network adaptor

Hi , got a xbox 360 and have just been given a wireless networking adaptor but i when i plug it in no light comes on (red or green ) , is this right or is it bust or do i need to do something first ?
Should the light come on when you plug it in straight away ?

    From what I see on the net, the green light is an indicator that you are connected to a wireless connectu#ion, and the red one is a hardware problem/failure. Seeing as you have neither would lead me to believe that you havent set the xbox up to connect to a wireless set up.... yet..

    Have you tried the INSTRUCTIONS:confused:
