Cold callers that stand too close hoping to put their foot in the door as soon as it opens run the risk of a bloodied nose. My door opens outwards and has a few stains around 5'6" to 5'8" high where it has made contact with unwelcome visitors.jackieblack said:

We're assuming that they really were from interactivechallenge.That may not be the case: it could well be a ploy to make themselves look vaguely respectable if anyone does an online search, and to deflect complaints.I used to receive a dozen or more calls claiming to be from BT / Openreach / Microsoft / The Bank etc. But they weren't...0

It's dead easy. I always open the door as I have no idea who is on the other side and if it isn't somebody legitimate like a meter reader (Octopus/Lowry Beck/Morrisons Meter Services..) I smile benignly and before they can say anything say 'Not interested thanks'. Never had an issue although it helps to be a pensioner who is fit enough and with the build to still play a contact sport in a local women's league!
