...so to make a copy image of the HD I assume you create a new folder on the HD and then just copy off the CD.
then just burn the files without the folder you created onto the new CD.
Am I right - or would this method just create problems with bootable disks etc?Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

Huh? Are you just over-complicating this?
You're hurting my brain.
Now you are writing about copying your HDD??
Simple...Program creates an image of the CD on your HDD, program re-imposes image on to another CD from image stored on HDD.

If you have two CD drives you can copy directly from one to the other.

No, I just want to be able to do this manually if I need to in the future.
That freeware ISO program worked wonders btw - It really is that simple to use, but we have a number of PCs and don't necessarily want to be downloading SW for every single task on the one with only 20gb HDD.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

I recently bought this 160GB portable HD from Comet for £59.95, it is very useful for moving data from one PC to another."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I'm currently using one with 15GB.
Thing is, these aren't new problems and there are some nice people who write these programs for us.
So why not make use of them? You can always uninstall afterwards.
BTW, I'm glad that you took my comments in the spirit they were meant. :beer:0
