I didn't showcase my lasagne but it did turn out well and I enjoyed it, and neither was it 100% SW friendly sadly. MD has paid the CC off and with that I want to stick to the budget of £220 per month roughly speaking for fuel and food. (At the moment I am out of work and on benefits although since last job I haven't received any benefits) I have calculated that I need to spend not much more then £60 every two weeks for one, I have planned and organised my shopping to a T including toilet roll! I will weigh myself now, it is 15:47 and I weigh 23 stones and 9 pounds. That means I have gained no weight since I last weighed myself which was quite a while ago and it is not the morning I am super chuffed with that!

Next weight day, I will put it in the calendar now is 25.04.25! One month to lose some weight, I am not weighing weekly because it is such slow movement that I doubt it would have changed much, but a month at it, should yield results. The plan is not be on a diet per se, but to live within my budget by cooking more and cutting out more snacks and take out. Will living frugally effect my weight...we will see..
I am trying to raise £300 by 30.06.25 from Prolific and other sources, I am up to £69.92/£300 which is 23%

I have not been doing very well in the weightloss department, not that I have checked but I am not eating very well. It is when I stop being mindful and act on impulse. I need to be held up to accountability so from now I will update here with meal plans and days activities etc, so I am accountable. Today I have updated my online shop to include the following:-

Breakfast: Scrambled egg, smoked salmon and hash browns

Lunch: Cheese and lower fat salad cream sandwich and an apple (if I am at home I will have JP and cheese!)

    Dinner:

Option 1:- HM Lasagne (4 meals)

Option 2:- SW friendly roast (3 Meals)

Option 3:- Bunless burger and chips (3 meals)

Option 4: Fritata with peppers, onions, potato and cheese (3 meals)

Option 5: Sole and chips (2 meals)

Option 6: Bean and JP (2 meals)

Option 7: Chinese for me and Lodger (1 meal)

(18 meals for 2 weeks, 4 will end in the freezer

(I am on a budget the smoked salmon is Stamford (cheaper range, I hope it is okay!) so are the eggs! (free range still)

Today I didn;'t do well I ate many poor snack choices and I have bought the wrong things because they didn't have what I wanted! I am strongly thinking about giving it away, but eaten in moderation they will be fine, so that is what I will do.)

Tonight I am cooking Quorn meatballs in tomato sauce HM with onion and garlic, I am expecting some will go to the freezer. and I will have a cornetto for after, but that is it. I will eat up the last of the cornettos and not buy again, I will not eat any other snacks this evening, That is my promise for tonight.

I think also I will walk around the block, just the block no where else and come back (One circuit).

Accountability update:- Dinner is in the oven but I don't feel hungry because of junk food, I did two circuits around block, admittedly it is a small block however I felt out of breath on the second go!

I have eaten dinner and feel stuffed, I have decided not to have cornetto after all the junk I have had!

Also I have made a plan for tomorrow:-

I am taking MD to local shop and cafe we have already (mindfully) decided not to go to the cafe, also I am taking her early after brekkie, then we can get back in good time for lunch at home and then dinner.

    Tomorrows Brekkie will be:-
    Bowl of cereal

    Tomorrows Lunch will be:-
Cheese (30g) and salad cream sandwich (not too much salad cream) and two fig rolls and a packet of quavers! (Use up the snacks moderately!).

    Tomorrows Dinner will be:-
I think I need to use up the eggs so I will make a fritata potato, onion and cheese (30g). Also treat of a cornetto!

Feeling empowered and in a good mood, I feel like I can do it!

    Plus 3 circuits!

I think you're going a bit carb heavy.

I'd consider reducing the carbs in favour of protein - eggs or plain natural yoghurt for breakfast

Using condiments like salad cream, tomato ketchup, brown sauce... is also likely to add more calories than you realise - and there's research that shows people eat more food when condiments are used.

So, lunch - quavers OR fig rolls, not both.

Hi Emmia I agree with you, but I don't want to waste the food I have, I have done an online shop where I have bought eggs, smoked salmon and hash browns for brekkie (3 syns), for lunch if I am home I will have JP and cheese, if not sandwich with 30g cheese and a dollop of Low fat salad cream and an apple, then hm meal for dinner - This will be the main plan which I start soon, the shop is for 19th April.

As for the quavers or fig rolls, I think I will go for fig rolls! Thanks for the stipulation! 😂

I will change from salad cream 'a lot' to low fat 'a little' I need the flavour with the cheese, I don't like plain cheese, and I love salad cream! I can't think of anything else to have with it that I fancy, or any other sandwich ideas!? I do like haiwaian pizza on slices of bread I guess I could make that, with mozzarella pineapple and gammon/ ham...But not until I have a job (I need to be budget friendly for now!). I have to admit I am bored with my sandwich choice but can't think of alternatives...Ham and tomato, I think I will go for that! I will order in the next shop. Thank youXX

You brought the jacket potatoes and the hash browns (both carby).

Do you measure your salad cream out? I would compare the nutritional information on the low fat/slimline salad cream and the regular stuff, often the low fat/calories is just loaded with other stuff like sweeteners.

Fig roll(s) (could you just have a fig roll?)

What about a cheese and tomato sandwich? Could you do an open sandwich on one slice of bread? I'm a fan of egg sandwiches (I like a bit of egg mayo, with sliced egg and spinach or watercress)

If I'm reducing carbs, at home then an omelette for lunch with some veg mixed in onions, chopped peppers, perhaps a little chorizo.

Breakfast is usually a small pot of plain yoghurt with some berries (I buy frozen ones and then put a few in a bowl to defrost overnight).

Can you fill up on veg like broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, or green beans (I often buy frozen green beans).

I'm a fan of soups, especially thick soups with things like beans and lentils.

I've never done Slimming World or Weight Watchers, but I have used  apps to track my food and drink weighing and measuring everything. It's so boring really but it's about training yourself to know how to eat better - what are the better choices.

I'm looking for tips.  Never been on a diet but after a check up with nurse I've been told to try and lose 11lbs.  I've got no idea where to start.  I'm hoping if I lose the weight it will help my arthritic hip.

Today I had a rashers of bacon with a slice of toast for breakfast, a boiled egg and slice of toast for lunch.  I'll have a home made quarter pounder with a slice of tomato and cheese with a jacket potato.  Too many carbs?

Where are the fruit and veg in that (aside from the slice of tomato, and jacket spud)?

How much activity are you doing - not workouts, things like not getting in the car and walking instead.

I have fruit juice with breakfast and I usually have an apple or pear as a snack.  I generally have two veg with dinner but not tonight.

I do look after grandchild so out walking with him in his buggy for an hour or two twice a week, not so much other days although my husband is disabled and I probably run up and die stairs at least a dozen times a day.
