Marriage Tax Allowance - HMRC delays?

Hi all,

Has anyone had any problems with claiming the Marriage Tax Allowance? 

My wife attempted to transfer her allowance to me in 2023 - 2024 tax year online however, it's came to light recently that HMRC had not updated this. 

I have since sent the form off to transfer the allowance and back date 4 weeks ago - And still this hasn't been changed! 

Anyone else had any similar issues with this?

No idea how long a paper form would take but it seems unusual for an online claim to not work.

Did she definitely get to the end of the process?

Is it possible you aren't eligible in 2023-24?

We sent an application by post at the end of February, have just checked with HMRC & have been informed we should receive decision by mid July. They are currently looking at applications from mid December 24
