    Yep - so it sounds like it's exactly as I warned...

    The estate agent isn't offering to say to the seller "Sorry, we made a mistake and told you the wrong price. So this definitely isn't a reduction in they buyer's offer."

    Instead, the estate agent was wanting to make out it was some kind of reduction in the offer.


    But you've agreed to pay an extra £500 to dig the estate agent out of a hole they made - so it's all ended up ok.

    the EA should have explained to the seller  and then reduced their fee by £500
