Correct way to state different address on Will

Hello, I hope someone can help me!
I recently submitted a C1 form after the passing of my Father in Scotland.
It has been returned to me because the place of residence at the time of his death [nursing home] does not match his 'property address' stated in his Will.
I felt I had correctly declared this fact within the C1 form, but the Sheriff Court want me state this fact on his actual Will. Does anyone know the correct terminology to use when stating this? I do not want to get this wrong as there won't be enough space to write another version.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you copy out exactly what you wrote on C1 regarding his address?

I suspect that you need reference to the fact that he was at (nursing home) but previously of (property address). Hopefully @buddy9 can advise of the exact wording needed.

Hello @RAS, thanks for your response
In the C1 form page 1 I put his address as the Nursing home.
On page 2 in the Declaration I stated my name, then:
Former address referred to in the will: xyz

An address difference is not marked on the will. The address difference should be shown in para 2 of page 2 of the C1 such as the example below:

    That I am

the son and executor nominate of the said deceased, conform to his will dated [date of will] which is herewith exhibited, docquetted and signed as relative hereto. In said will the said deceased is designed as residing at [address as in will] a former address.

Hello @buddy9, thanks for your response, appreciated.

So this is what I wrote in para 2:
Executor Nominate and son of the said deceased, conform to his Will dated 18 May 20xx, herewith
exhibited and docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto.
so the additional sentence you have offered makes sense thanks

I had written in the first box on this page
    my name
Former address referred to in the will:
    xyz
should I remove everything apart from my name in this declaration by box then?

The written comment from the Sheriff's Clerk was:
The deceased's address differs in the will from that in the C1 form, this difference requires to be narrated in the will.

Your father's address was different from the will. Is your address also different from that stated in the will?

No my address is correct. I think what I was trying to say in first box was a bad version of what you have suggested for box 3

Apologies @buddy9, forgot to use 'tag' when replying to let you know I had responded

No my address is correct. I think what I was trying to say in first box was a bad version/my poor attempt of what you have suggested for box 3

The first box on page 2 of the C1 should contain your name and address.

I have never heard of the executor narrating an address change on a will. It seems to me to be something that should not be done.

But it is the norm to narrate the address difference in para 2 of the declaration (the third box) as per the example.

    @buddy9
    OK thanks
I am no expert obviously, but even I thought it odd to write anything on the Will!
    Other than:
This is the will referred to in my declaration of this date to the Inventory of the estate of the late name of my father.

I'll resubmit with your suggestion and hope for the best

Thanks very much, your guidance has been very much appreciated!
