WiFi on Samsung S25

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S25 and would appreciate some advice on a WiFi access issue.
I have no problem accessing WiFi at home or in some public places such as supermarkets. However, I’m unable to access WiFi at my local Nuffield Health gym or Costa Coffee. I have googled and played with various security settings but no luck. Of course I have also rebooted the phone a couple of times at both venues.
I get an error message which either simply says Internet not available or there is a security issue. I have no problem using 5G at either location.
I previously had a Samsung A50 and had no problem accessing WiFi at the gym or Costa.

Any suggestions, please?
Andrew.

When you say you can't access wifi, how far do you get? Do you connect to the Costa network and then can't get to the login page? I suspect the most likely cause of your issue is that the phone is trying to use a secure DNS service or VPN...and some networks have issues with these things.2

It shows as connected in the usual way but when I try to access any internet site it says no internet available and no emails etc come through. I don't use a VPN and I have changed the Private DNS setting from automatic to off, but still no luck.
I'm planning to take my old phone (A50) to the gym together with the new S25. If the former works (as it did before I got the new phone) and the latter does not I will compare settings and hopefully spot the difference.
The gym seems to use Aruba Networks which is a division of HP so it should be secure - maybe too secure!0 -
Tap on wifi network, settings, view more, MAC address type, change it to the black option.
Sometimes this works for me with public wifi networks1
