Voicemail problems on my Iphone. Can anyone help please
But at the moment even though I can make a call I cant receive them. Its only been the last few days. If someone calls me I receive a text to say I have missed the call about 45 mins after they try to call me.
The phone does not ring and the caller says it just goes straight to voicemail.
So, thinking I have hit something accidently to cause this I have been Googling and following all the usual steps, take out the sim, make sure airplane mode is off etc.
Nothing is helping and the instructions online to turn on/off voicemail tell me to go into settings/phone/calls and the the under calls should be a 'Live Voicemail' option.
Ive followed the instructions and the screen shows exactly the same options except the voicemail option is not there.
It is a very old Iphone 6s plus so I know its outdated but there must be a way to check why all my calls are being diverted to voicemail without the phone ringing. Ive searched everywhere in settings, general etc but cant find it. Can anyone help please. thank you.

Who is your carrier? Some carriers have a call forwarding option, could you have accidentally triggered that?

Im only on an o2 pay as you go, dont use the phone for much at all. How would I know if I had triggered it accidentally? would it show somewhere? Thank you for replying.Billxx said:Who is your carrier? Some carriers have a call forwarding option, could you have accidentally triggered that?0 -
In the first instance check the phone itself by going into Settings->Phone or Settings->Apps->Phone, depending on your version of iOS. Look at the Call Forwarding, Call Blocking, Silence Unknown Callers or anything else that looks appropriate (exact names may vary between versions of iOS)

"Live Voicemail" missing is a red herring, that is an iOS 17 feature, the iPhone 6S only supports up to iOS 15.0

Apparently dialling ##002# will cancel all call diverts. I have never used o2 so I can't say I've used it.swingaloo said:

This usually isn’t caused by anything you accidentally tapped — on older iPhones like the 6s Plus, incoming calls going straight to voicemail is often due to a network or provisioning issue rather than a setting inside the phone.
A few things you can check:
-
Check Call Forwarding: Even if you never turned it on, carriers sometimes enable it by mistake. Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
-
Carrier signal refresh: Removing the SIM, rebooting, and then resetting network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings) can force the phone to re-register correctly.
-
Do Not Disturb / Focus: On older iOS versions, the old Do Not Disturb mode can silence calls without showing any banner.
-
Account-side issue: Sometimes the carrier needs to refresh the call routing on your line — this is surprisingly common with older devices.
Since the 6s is running an old iOS, some call-related services can get unstable. If the system services are glitching, you may need to update your iPhone system. An magfone iOS System Update can sometimes resolve call routing problems without wiping the phone.

Sounds like an AI response. Also this thread is 8 months old.Xyrics21 said:This usually isn’t caused by anything you accidentally tapped — on older iPhones like the 6s Plus, incoming calls going straight to voicemail is often due to a network or provisioning issue rather than a setting inside the phone.
