Teachers’ Pensions Website difficulties

Good evening all,
just wondering if anyone else is experiencing difficulties with the Capita run TP website, really hard to contact them, emails not answered and on hold on the phone for 50 mins plus.
i have had and filled in my Rollback choices statement which tells me I am owed money. It was posted “special delivery” they have had the signed form since 6th March yet no communication to say what’s happening. I am well aware that there are staffing issues hence the lack of contact but wondering what to do, I’ve written to my MP but I see that trust pilot reviews are pretty awful and some retired members waiting over 6 months for their pension lump sum and monthly payment.

I know that another company have the government contract for this starting on October but I am really appalled by this lack of service to people who gave so much to their communities.

I sent a message via the site about 4 weeks ago and not heard anything back. They've never been this slow before.1

We have been chasing my wife's teachers pension since August 2024!!
Don't hold your breath. It is terrible.1 -
I have written to Dan Aldridge my local MP and asked him to look at the trust pilot reviews to get a picture of some of the difficulties people are facing, lack of CEVT documentation holding up divorces and visa documentation, people having retired in September with no lump sum or monthly pensions yet, he was truly shocked and got back to me within a day which I’m grateful for.Mine is a relatively small issue but reading the posts from others, I’m really disheartened that Capita are allowed to get away with this incompetence. Here’s hoping that there will be some accountability for all those waiting!I’ll keep you posted0

Hi there,
The TPA website is in disarray. I have had no response to calls or emails in the last 2 months. I am trying to retire but not able to access any benefit statement. Have asked for paper one but no joy yet. I am in a facebook group that is helpful with advice and it helps to know its not just me but the whole business is confusing and worrying. This needs investigating and sorting, I cannot believe how dire the situation is.0 -
Sorry to hear of everyone's issues. I sent an email via TPS website and no response after many weeks. I had been trying to work out my final pension payments and which form to complete. I decided to just go ahead and complete one of the forms available (aged retirement) that I thought was closest to my need. Surprisingly, once my employer completed their section and sent it to TPS, it didnt take long for TPS to process everything. I have now received my final pension details including payment of lump sum and additional interest - after 3 weeks since they received the paperwork. I am not sure if I have just been lucky.0
