Mind I once had a gas bill payment stopped and referred to the fraud squad at Lloyds but really that's quite understandable.
Maybe they were just shocked at the size of the bill!  🤣🤣

You can change the FD SO by deleting it and seeing up a new one for the amount you want. I did it last week.
Any idea if you can change the SO date and if so, whether bringing it forward from say mid-month (account opening default date) to 1st yields a bit more interest?

It is possible to set up a new SO for a different date, but there is a maximum balance per account month above which you will just earn the standard savings account rate of interest (currently 1.5% AER, going down to 1.35% in mid April). You'd be better off holding each £300 in a better paying savings account until just before your mensiversary.
