I inherited some shares from my mother and filled in the necessary form to transfer the shares in my name and the transfer went through a couple of years ago.
Have not really paid attention to the and would now like to transfer them to trading 212. However they need to be digitised.
i have an online account where the shares show up but I can't work out if they are digitized or not. There doesn't seem to by an account type in my account : CSN, Investment Account,/Isa/Trading Account or Certificate Holdings or any type of account type.
I find the website not user friendly at all. Can anyone give any advise? If the shares are listed there does that mean they are digitised?

When I inherited some shares that were held in paper form, they were digitised as part of the process of transferring them into my name. It was a long time ago, but I've a feeling I may have selected this option because it was cheaper than them issuing paper shares in my name. Either that or I thought it provided an easy opportunity to get them digitised. When it comes to selling, I'll probably transfer them to an alternative broker first because selling directly via Shareview isn't cheap.
As you say, whether your shares are held digitally is likely to depend on what type of account you hold. If there is no online option to sell within your account, then it may just be a list of your holdings but if that was the case, they presumably would have sent you new paper certificates in your name through the post ?
If the situation isn't clear, I would get in touch with them for a definitive answer.0 -

Thanks for the replies. I can't find any certificates but maybe they sent them and I misplaced them. There is the option to sell the shares online but when I push that button you then have to select if you have digitized shares or paper share. The website is confusing. Ok I will give them a call
