We (company) have received this letter today. Initially, I only looked at the month, but later realized it was in 2022! We have never had any correspondence from this crowd before. How do we deal with it? TIA

Read literally ANY other DCB Legal claim thread that isn't about setting aside a CCJ.
ONLY look at 2025 defences. Copy.
They're all the same and the defence is the same except for changing a few words and a date!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you both for pointing me in the right direction. Any thoughts on the date and the fact we have never received anything previously?Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

OK, so I'm using coupon mad defence template, and in section 3, I'm proposing the following. Is this OK?
In the Particulars of Claim, the Claimant states “Reason: Vehicle on site in excess of paid for time / Parked without making a valid payment. It is unclear which reason the claimant is relying upon. However, the car park in question operates a pay on exit system so it is not possible to be there in excess of paid time. Furthermore, the car park operates a barrier system on exit and the barrier can only be raised by inserting a valid ticket. It therefore follows that a valid ticket must have been purchased.

Very good if that was 3.1
You've missed the advice in the Template Defence thread about using the shahib_02 paragraph 3 linked there.
I advised you to "read a few DCB Legal defences and copy". You can't have missed the standard paragraph 3 as it's in EVERY thread this year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Paying for private land parking would NOT have been to a Council.
Sounds like the driver paid the Council instead of the PPC (made a wrong location assumption on the app?) so you certainly DON'T put that in as evidence, nor even refer to it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With a Claim Issue Date of 10th March, you have until Monday 31st March 2025 to file an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS'), but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AOS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AOS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 14th April 2025 to file a Defence. That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the AOS guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an AOS, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
Hi all. Just an update. I submitted a defence, but dcb legal have written advising their client intends to proceed with the claim. I have now received a letter from court offering mediation and inviting me to complete a Directions Questionnaire. I have until 16th June to respond.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.1

A heads-up - you must have noticed the following heading when you filed your Defence as kindly posted (which you "thanked") by KeithP:-
"THE FIRST 12 STEPS:"
Continue to check those steps.
