Probate application

Hello, I am just about to start completing propate form PA1P and have just checked through the form to check that I have all the information required before starting. I have read and re-read point 3.7 but am unclear if I need to fill it in. I am the sole executor so there is no need to give notice to other executors - there aren't any - so should I leave this box un-ticked or what.
Thank you for any help with this.

I'd recommend using the online service https://www.gov.uk/applying-for-probate/apply-for-probate you'll get a faster turnaround.0

Thank you; I do intend to apply online but wanted to preview the form before I get started to make sure I had everything I need. Assuming the forms are essentially the same, 3.7 confused me a bit.

I see what you mean about question 3.7, but if 3.6 is blank in your case then 3.7 can logically be left unticked.
Like you I also went through the paper application to prepare for the online one. In fact the online application is much simpler since many conditional questions (like 3.7) are omitted.

oh thank you for that reply; that has reassured me. I just want to complete the form correctly first time so that there will be no delays other than the usual ones.

I am at the stage of filling in a probate application and totally confused about questions about inheritance tax. My late brothers estate does comes under the income tax threshold for inheritance tax,, But, I am unsure whether I need to send forms to tax office to show this.

I forgot to mention that my brother did not leave a will. I am not allowed to do the form online. I have had to apply for a citizens application by post.0

As for sending evidence the answer is no. Its been 10 years nearly since i did my dads and I just put the figures required ie house value savings cash in hand and value of personal possessions. They didnt question any of my claims and i was granted probate. I did have to do a form for hrmc as well and they waited for that to say there was no iht to be paid.
In my daily job now we always do any application for admon online and all these estates are intestate. They do differ as these have usually had probate granted to the bvd solicitor so we are just applying for change of administrator so i cant use those to give you a more up todate response
