TERMS AND CONDITIONS for Tesco Mobile Good News Mondays x Absolute (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

1.             THE ONLINE COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN ABSOLUTE

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:

Entries are restricted to one per person.

Online entry is free of charge.

 

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

There will be 4 x winners of the Competition in total.

The prize winners will be chosen from the persons who successfully answer the question and submits their details. The entrant must submit a family member who they believe to be deserving of a nomination, for being a hero or doing something great. The Absolute Radio production team will pick a winner from the entries, on the dates listed below. The winning entry is down to the production team, with the help of an independent judge. Entries will be judged subjectively, based on deservingness and quality of entry.

Winners will be chosen in the morning, to be brought to air in the afternoon. This will mean there are four winners in total, one for each Monday:

Winner 1 – 24th March

Winner 2 – 31st March

Winner 3 – 7th April

Winner 4 – 14th April

There will be 4 on-air winners, one per week, each winning prizes (as described in Prize 5.0).

•               The competition will air on Absolute Radio from 24/03/2025 - 14/04/2025, every Monday 16:00-19:00.

•               The player will be selected each day from the shortlist, as per the criteria.

•               Listeners will be instructed by the Absolute Radio Production team in the morning and told when to expect a call to be brought to air. This will be during Hometime with Bush and Richie, every Monday 16:00-19:00.

•               Entrants will have to come to air and coherently explain their entry.

•               Calling into the studio or speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize.

•               These winners will receive the prize as stated in Prize 5.0.

•               Only upon being told they are the winner, will an entrant become the ‘winner’.

•               All final decisions will rest with the Absolute Radio Production Team.

•               The Absolute Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.

3. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

From 19/03/2025 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to 14/04/2025 at 11:59 (“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 21 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them/the closing date of the competition, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

 

●              Open to UK residents aged [18] years or over on date of entry.

●              Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

●              We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

●              Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. ●              Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.

●              Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

●              We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

●              You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
