Patchy grass advice please
Hi this area was gravelled over when I bought the house 5 years ago. I've been trying to get grass to grow using seed ever since but it doesnt really work and as you can see it is patchy with mainly moss. Any suggestions? Turf?

Maybe the grass you have needs taking up then new topsoil added followed by turf/ grass seeding from the photo alone I can't see what the depth of the soil is underneath your lawn
So you could call a lawncare firm out they offer a free no obligation quotation for a regular weeding/feeding service who could give you advice on whether to persevere with your lawn or start from scratch1 -
Need more info on where this patch of grass is. If it is too shady or damp for grass to grow you are fighting a losing battle. Grow something else that will enjoy the conditions.0

That might be why it was gravel previously. Is a a shaded part of the garden. If so, there is grass seed which is supposed to grown in shade0
