It shouldn’t do any harm bringing all of what’s happening to the attention of journalists.  Personally, I’ve received no compensation.  There’s a link in an email from Harcus Parker where they want the amount of original funds held in the Woodford fund entered.  Are they seriously expecting a huge percentage of what our original funds were, regardless of whether or not compensation has been paid?
Are you sure you haven't received something ? I got relatively small amounts into two ISAs ,one with HL and one with Charles Stanley plus another amount back in my SIPP. . For example ,the "compensation" was listed as "Scheme Proceeds CF Woodford Eq " in April 2024 on my Charles Stanley statement.
And ,yes ,they are asking for ~ 64% of my received amounts!!
They wouldn’t have known where to pay it into as they didn’t have any account details
Did you not receive any of the correspondence from Link administration or the voting forms? If so you are in a much stronger position although have obviously missed out on the money too.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I’ve checked through my inbox (I typed in “Woodford” to the search box), and all correspondence listed is from Harcus Parker, and there were no voting form attachments.  I’m genuinely ok with not receiving ‘compensation’.

It's likely to have been in an email from your investment provider. Could be just notification that you've received a new secure message.

I checked my email and the key ones I can see used the words LF Equity Income Fund

    Another chase from Harcus Parker.

“I hope this finds you well. I am writing today because we have not recorded a response to my latest email. If you have responded to my previous email, please get in contact with my team to confirm.”

I imagine they are trying to get as much in as they can before the publicity turns against them. Interesting article in the Times today turning the spotlight onto the techniques of these no win no fee companies.

Interesting that Harcus Parker’s Woodfordclaim.com seems to be down. Luckily I kept an archive of the FAQ

You only have to pay if WE are successful!

"If you are successful you will pay us 35% of your damages, plus VAT"

And, as it states, it is very important to read the T&Cs. No-one is going to get out of what they signed up for on the basis of that statement you've quoted. It's whats in the contract (T&Cs).

And if one feels the two statements 'if we are successful...' and 'if you are successful...' are ambiguously contradictory (i.e. that the inverse of the former being true means the latter is negated) don't worry - I'm sure the T&Cs give them ample leeway to resolve such matters in their favour!

When you sign them up to represent you, they are successful when you are successful. That's how out of court settlements work.

I typed “LF Equity Income Fund” into my inbox search box, and the emails that appeared are from my then platform investment funding provider in 2019 (notifying me of the Woodford fund suspension) and in 2020 (saying the price per share of what LFS was selling at).  But nothing since then.  I wouldn’t call the amount that LFS sold my shares at as ‘compensation’, and I haven’t received any money since then.  Are Harcus Parker expecting 35% + VAT, plus that insurance premium out of the money that LFS sold my shares at in 2020?
