VW seviceplan termination

I've had a service plan with my VW and have been paying £35 per month.
The payment plan runs until Dec 26, but I have used both services on it so was planning on terminating in December when the plan runs out as it also includes breakdown cover/warranty and still have 1 MOT on it
I called up to see how much a settlement amount would be and was given a figure of £104 ish by the digital service, but didn't hear another thing.
I was waiting for a letter from them which didn't arrive, so I paid the £35 that I normally pay monthly on the 1st March.
Yesterday I received a letter from collections dated 6th March stating that I was in arrears and my plan was paused. I owed £104.something. I checked my account online online and it stated that I owed £69.10
I emailed them for clarification but I called them this morning too.
I was informed that my plan has been terminated (I don't know why- presumably because of the perceived arrears)
I was also told it was terminated by the dealer on my behalf.
The customer service agent is going to  is going to contact the team to reinstate it but it could take up to 4 weeks.
I asked what exactly am I suppose to do if I breakdown on the M25 while I'm waiting. She said I could call complaints!!
I can get another plan no issues but she would not give me any details or contacts of anyone to complain to and doesn't have a phone number for the team who reinstate it. It has to go through a process and speaking to any of the managers wouldn't change things.

This is some sort of screw up by VW, surely this can be sorted??

I can arrange breakdown cover elsewhere, that's not an issue. But AAAGH.
Anyone got any words of wisdom?
