I’m new at sky super 6 football predictions competition, i made the sky account a while back but first time I used it, I logged in and it’s asking me to either upload passport or driving licence so it can verify I am over the age of 18 and to confirm my identity, has anyone else had to this?

I don't recall ever being asked for this but I've had my Sky Bet account for probably 20 years.

Maybe if it's something they have started recently someone else will be able to be of more help and you will hopefully get an answer soon.

Gambling sites have been required to verify the identity of an account - I've been asked numerous times with competitions - but with the Online Safety Act, websites accessible in the UK (not just adult websites as people wrongly assume, the BBC is reporting all websites in a recent article) will need to verify the age and identification of the visitor of their website by July and must prevent people using VPN's to bypass the legal requirement. Sky Bet is likely implementing the current rules but will have to implement further verification by July (likely Government photo ID and facial recognition).
