holiday pay and Carers allowance threshold

hi, i am going to start 16hours a week from around mid april until dec, under new rules i can earn this and claim carers allowance.
my question is what happens in dec when my seasonal jobs end and they pay me accrued holiday pay?, will this lump sum affect the threshold?, or, as i read on another post, am i allowed to claim a break and earning are disregarded?.
any clarity will help, thanks

I believe that your holiday pay counts as earnings and it needs to be under the threshold in order for you to still qualify. Earnings are earnings, so if you can, have them pay it to you the month after you leave, separate to your wages for that month.

I was made redundant and I had to have pay in lieu and holiday pay paid over 2 months to keep me under the threshold.

I do not believe you can claim a break and still get paid. You can have a break and get no payment?
