Trademark denied for counter descriptive words.

Trying to get a trademark called "Yum or Yuck" and received this.

Names are both readily understood dictionary defined words. As a
result, it is considered that the average consumer, when met with the sign on
sweet and candy goods, would perceive the sign as nothing more than an origin
neutral statement informing the consumer that the sweet and candy goods will
either taste good or taste unpleasant.

Come up with something more original?

A quick google of the phrase comes up with thousands of internet sites and the vast majority are in connection with foods. It's too commonly used to be protected exclusively for your use.

Probably get a better IP lawyer if they advised this was likely able to be protected.

Assuming this is a phrase you are trying to protect rather than a specific design of a logo that happens to include the words

Are you simply applying to trademark the phrase?
Or are you applying to trademark the phrase in a specific presentation format that might be considered to constitute a logo?
