Can lenders put a default back on my account

I went through an IVA in 2019 I have been clearing up my credit file as my mortgage broker advised that defaults should be registered for when the IVA was approved. All lenders agreed to this and for approximately 5 days my credit file was free from defaults. However one lender has updated this and changed the default to June 2019 from Feb 2019 and it’s causing me a load of problems as I am trying to rent a property. The lender accepted the date change previously so I am really concerned why they seem to have reactivated it again, are they allowed to do this? All other defaults and the IVA itself are no longer on my report. I have raised it with Experian but don’t feel as if I am getting anywhere. What else can I do please? Thanks 🙏

I do not believe that credit checks for a property would show defaults. They are more limited in the information that they can see and this is usually restricted to publicly available information, such as CJ's and Bankruptcies.0

You should complain to the lender, Experian only report what the lender tells them
Lender should not change a default date if you went into the IVA in FebSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
