Fortrade CFD vs ETF
But now they tell me they sell a mirror image of ETFs in the names of CFD
Anyone know what they are please?

You can Google contract for difference. Don't bother, find a broker that offers genuine ETFs.GringoGoesToVagas said:So I opened an account with them under the impression that I could buy ETFs from Fortraders

But I read that first link where it saysBroker comparison: cheap investment platforms UK
Find the cheapest investment platforms in the UK and make broker comparison easier with our tables below. Investment costs are all-important, so we’ve placed the cheapest brokers at the top of each table.
It would appear that there are many many more share dealing accounts out there then I first though. And a lot of free ones as well. Where fortrade said they charge somewhere in the range of 20c-26c (USD) per trade. Which I considered to be a good MSE deal!
So lets look at the first 3
Well they all appear to be free. Except for the first one that has (DIY services) And the first row states "Fee notes" ETFs only. So I presume that the first one is charging you something for trading ETFs. But at the end the row "Good for" states that the first one is Zero Fees

Don’t presume anything, InvestEngine is, currently, for its basic account fee and commission free. That note is referring to the fact that it only offers ETFs.GringoGoesToVagas said:

What are you looking for? In your OP you said you were looking at ETFs and these platforms and stock brokers offer them. Trading212 is another that’s worth looking at.
